Hexvessel is based in Tampere, Finland. The band was founded by English singer/songwriter Mat McNerney when he moved to Finland in 2009. Their music has been said to transport “Black Metal’s hostile chill and the slick, effortless cool of Post-Punk into Hexvessel’s world of magic, nature, and timeless storytelling.”

Mat “Kvohst” McNerney summons the nocturnal ghosts of his past, churned in the cauldron of Black Metal, Ritual Folk Psychedelia and Doom Rock with Gothic undertones. From their inception in 2009, primal forest spirits Hexvessel have captivated audiences and listeners with their evolution.
